Dear Professor Fabio Gomes,

I hope this mail finds you well.

I had the pleasure of giving a visual communication workshop entitled “Kanji e o traço Maranhense” (hereinafter referred to as the “Workshop”) at Universidade Federal do Maranhão, UFMA, on September 28 and 29, 2011. I have given this workshop in twelve universities in eleven different countries, and am currently publishing a catalog entitled, 「吾輩は漢字である」 “I am Kanji”, which will comprise visuals

either prepared by the students or in which they participated during the Workshop. Reference will be made, for every visual, to the University and the name of the participating student (i.e. date, place, university name, university logo, student’s name and country flag). The catalog will be edited and published by ALBA-Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts - Balamand University (a Lebanese Academy of Arts) and will be used for academic purposes. In this occasion, I have the pleasure to inform you that some of the visuals prepared during the workshop given at UFMA will figure in the catalog as described above and as previously mentioned  in the proposal sent to you upon submitting for the workshop teaching. I hope that this catalog will be a testimony of prolific creative international collaboration and an open invitation for universities to work together on future projects.
